9th and 10th grade students at East Bay High School were honored today with Turnover Chains for changing the game through showing improvement in Quarter 1. Students who received the award improved from last school year in their academics (2.0 or higher) and/or behavior. Students are much more likely to graduate from high school if they have a 2.0 or higher. We are so proud of our students who are taking control of their success!

This is Norwich University's tips on how to get accepted to college:
• Academic Preparedness. Norwich looks at the student's high-school transcript to make sure they are prepared for the rigors of the program they are pursuing. • Resume. It is advised, but not mandatory to submit a resume. We look for students who are motivated, value service to others and show initiative. • Personal Essay. While optional, we recommend students use a one-page essay to highlight something we don’t know about them. • Letter of Recommendation. Letters from teachers, coaches, counselors, JROTC instructors or employers are recommended. Two is an ideal number. East Bay scholars were challenged this week at USF's low ropes course. We learned about team building, communication, and trust! How can you incorporate these skills into challenges faced at school?
